Poster Printing Service
Chestnut Symposium is pleased to make poster printing available to you through our supplier poster will be professionally printed and shipped directly to Lugo (EPS USC) and you will be able to pick it up from the poster desk at the poster area during the congress. Printing, packing and delivery to the congress venue will cost EUR 30€.
Please note the deadline Wednesday 21 June 23 (23:59 CEST) to submit the poster file for printing.
Extended the deadline for abstract submission to 1 May 2023
Abstracts from Austria, China, Italy, France, Georgia, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, and USA have been already submitted and are currently being reviewed. In addition, attendees from Japan and Chile have confirmed their attendance.
Registration for Chestnut 2023 is now open!
The early bird conference registration period for the Symposium is from February 1st to April 30th and must be done through the registration form.

VII Chestnut Symposium is organized under the auspices of the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS).
ISHS (www.ishs.org) is a World-Wide Horticultural Network, an “independent organization of horticulturists acting as a globally recognized and sought-after platform for research, science-based information exchange and collaboration in support of sustainable innovation in horticulture.” The ISHS comprises “over 70,000 individuals, universities, governments, institutions, libraries and commercial companies, thousands of whom joined as Individual Members, in addition to a substantial number of Institutional Members and some 50 Member Countries/Regions.”
- The first Chestnut Symposium was previously organized in 1998 in France and continued in Portugal in 2004, in China in 2008, in the USA in 2012 and in 2014 in Turkey.
- Chestnut Symposium brings together researchers, technicians, academics, companies, associations and people related to and interested in the chestnut.
- USC is holding the present Symposium at Campus Terra in Lugo. We will have the opportunity of interchange ideas and we will also visit chestnut orchards and natural stands of special relevance, including the giant trees.
